Principal parts

  1. How many principal parts does a regular Greek verb have?
  2. Each principal part is a finite verb form. What person and number is used for principal parts?
  3. List all the principal parts of κελεύω “to order.”
  4. Which principal parts have an augment?

Memorize the vocabulary for module 1, then answer the following questions.

  1. Name two thematic verbs: give their first principal and English translation.
  2. Name two athematic verbs: give their first principal and English translation.
  3. Name two verbs that have no active forms in the first principal part: give their first principal part and English translation.
  4. Name two verbs that have no active forms int he third principal part: give both their first and third principal parts, and English translation.
