This practice is for use with section 5.9, “Adjectives”

Adjective position

In Lysias 1.7, Euphiletos describes to the jury his wife at the beginning of their marriage:

ὦ Ἀθηναῖοι, πασῶν ἦν βελτίστη· καὶ γὰρ οἰκονόμος δεινὴ καὶ φειδωλὸς ἀγαθὴ

First, let’s break it up into verbal expressions:

ὦ Ἀθηναῖοι, πασῶν ἦν βελτίστη

καὶ γὰρ οἰκονόμος δεινὴ

καὶ φειδωλὸς ἀγαθὴ
