Compose a prepositional phrase in Greek to express the highlighted phrases in English using the following words in addition to vocabulary for Module 2:

  • νόμος, νόμου, ὁ “law, custom”
  • οἰκία, οἰκίας, ἡ “house, household”
  1. One day, Euphiletos was working in the field.
  2. At the end of the day, he came home from the field.
  3. He dined with Sophilos, his friend.
  4. He thought he heard another person in the house.
  5. The led him to the conclusion that Eratoshenes was there.
  6. Euphiletos gathered a group of neighbors, and went with the men into his house.
  7. They saw Eratosthenes lying next to the person (female).
  8. In court, many things were clearly understood among the citizens making up the jury concerning the matter at hand.
  9. It was against the law to have an affair with a married woman.
  10. Euphiletos argued that it was in accord with the laws to kill a man he found in his own house.
